A Weekend in Wine Country

Last weekend I was invited to spend the weekend in wine country, (for a bachelorette party) and we stayed in a house on top of a winery. What a view! Thank god no one fell down the cliff after all the pinot we had. It was amazing to see the sun rise and set over these mountains. IMG_6965Friday night we took the bachelorette out on the town. I had my go-to dress from Elizabeth and James (Similar Here and Here), so easy to travel with, it never wrinkles! And these shoes are on sale and the perfect heel height to wear all night.

On Saturday we hit up two wineries: Roederer Estate in Anderson Valley, which specializes in sparkling wine, and boy did we drink ALLL of it. $10 to taste 7 different sparklers.

Then on to Golden Eye Winery for a Pinot tasting plus roughly 45 cheese plates.

Since it was early, we stopped for a chocolate croissant and a latte at Downtown Bakery, then lunch at Willi’s Seafood & Raw Bar. Highly recommend the Warm Sourdough with Paisley Butter and Lobster Rolls. Wish I had some now instead of these Cheerios. I want to come back and spend a weekend just in this town!

If you’re in the area and have already seen Sonoma or Napa, definitely check out Anderson Valley.
