I couldn’t share my Chicago trip with you and not mention all the best beauty spots! Have you met me? Even if you’re just in town for the weekend, I recommend you find an hour and check out one of the below places. Basically I’ve made you my ride or die beauty checklist in Chicago. The Flywheel class is the best solution to the food from this post. Ps my Insta is live! Check out @thechampagnechic, and tell me what you think!
Arch Apothecary: Consider this place your own personal glam squad. They do makeup application, blowouts, eyebrows, waxing, updos (if you’re feeling fancy)… you name it. I’ve been here dozens of times since it was steps from my old apartment and the entire staff is super nice and just as important, excellent at what they do. Head in with your bff before a night out or for just a little pick-me-up mid-week.
Polish and Pour: Wait, I can get my nails done while being served champagne?! We’re done here.
Maxine Salon: I’ve been going to this salon for over 5 years now (I still fly in from SF!) – and every appointment is the best day of my life. See Stacie for color and Evan for a haircut. Service, style, people, a TEN. You’ll feel like the girl in a Pantene commercial as you bounce out the door.
Flywheel Chicago: If you want to sweat your ass off, go to a Flywheel class. Will Haley’s class will leave you feeling AMAZING but also like you want to die. After this, you deserve some tacos.
Real Good Juice: The best juice place in the city! Their menu is so inventive, and you can get a freshly made smoothie or grab a pre-made to go. I like “Sweet Dreams of Falkor” for a sweet berry drink with a twist (basil!), or if you want to go with protein base, the “Silky Smooth Sounds of Sonny Sanderson’s Saxaphone” it tastes like a milkshare, without the post stomach ache. Menu here.
Finally, I had to sneak in one final wear for a few of my summer dresses, it was so nice in Chicago. Loving this one from Ted Baker, the color is so pretty and the back is a fun surprise! (But let’s not discuss the weirdo face I”m making in the second picture.)
See you in Chi-town!
