I just got back from my bff’s glorious Minneapolis wedding, and it reminded how stressful it can be to find the right rehearsal dinner dress! For me, it was almost harder than the wedding dress. You have to pick something that makes you feel like yourself, so you can focus on your fiancé and your guests, but also you want to look fabulous for the insta. (Speaking of, I have one: @thechampagnechic, find me!) So, this is my annual wedding cheat sheet on for all you ladies out there. BONUS, if you are not getting married, these are all great options for being a guest too (except the white one, don’t be that girl). Enjoy!ASTR The Label: So pretty, so pretty, so pretty. Might be best for those with a small to medium chest, but the lace and the color make me swoon.
Club Monaco: This dress SIZZLES, especially with a matchy-matchy shoe. Red pleats guarantee you’ll be the center of attention all night.
Alice + Olivia: Polka dots and a salsa skirt? I’m in heaven. Invite me to your wedding so I can wear this dress ASAP.
Yumi Kim: This picture does not do this dress justice. It’s a gorgeous fabric and very flattering. I have it (in red) and love the way it drapes from a natural waist. Choose from a variety of stunning colors including white. Or is white lack of color? [Shrugs].
Reformation: A comfortable, flowing classic shape. The lighter color options (nude/white) are a little see-through, so be prepared address with undergarments or tape. Dress it down with flats and a leather jacket to give it life after the rehearsal.
Bardot: Another floral dream, ideal for a destination wedding or an outdoor setting. The v-neck with draped sleeves, and cinched waist is flattering on all body types.
CeCe: A lovely navy option that can definitely be worn again and again. The split straps give it a little interest and it looks quite comfortable. Style with a statement earring to add the WOW factor.
Black Halo: Black Halo makes a gorgeous dress. Simple, well-made and smartly structured, if you want a dress that looks feminine without the flowers and bows, this is your best option.
Likely: The dress I wore to my rehearsal dinner was Elizabeth and James, but Likely makes this VERY similar version in about 12 colors, including white. Although it’s quite form-fitting, the longer length makes it rehearsal appropriate. Definitely size up, this dress runs 1-2 sizes small.
Chelsea29: A chic jumpsuit option, in case you aren’t a dress gal. Easily dressed up or down for re-wear after your rehearsal. Just restocked in all sizes at Nordstrom.
Ted Baker: Couldn’t resist adding just ONE white option. This one is so regal with the high neck and dramatic skirt, like a mini-wedding dress, it’s every brides dream.
