I never thought I could pull off wide leg denim. I would see those tall, skinny French-like girls on the street rockin’ a wide leg and think, “I love those pants, but they would never work on me.” Turns out, I was, for the first time ever in my WHOLE LIFE, wrong. On impulse I tried this pair from the Who What Wear Collection at Target, and I’ve never looked back. Well, first I bought the 43 other things in my cart that I didn’t need. But THEN I never looked back. Keep scrolling for 6 other pairs I’m sure you’ll love (most under $100)! And if you’re not already following me on instagram (@thechampagnechic), we need to talk.

To kickstart your search, a few tips to find the perfect pair for you:

  1. Go for higher waist. The waistband should hit at your narrowest part, flattering your shape, and balancing the wide leg.
  2. Avoid pockets if they aren’t cut right. If you try them on and the pockets bunch or don’t lay flat – RUN. Pockets that pop out will accentuate your hips, but not in the sexy-I’ve-gotta-hit-the-club way.
  3. Make sure the length is right. Get a pair that hit right below the calf to avoid being overwhelmed by the wide leg, while putting those lady-like ankles on display. It’s also the perfect topper for fun shoes.

    1. Thank you Kate! The “book” is actually a Kate Spade clutch from a few years ago that looks like a book. BUT you’ve given me a great idea for when I need a prop and have no bags handy… xo!
