I have been on the hunt for a plaid blazer for months now. I was longing for a boyfriend style with a bigger check, but not super boxy, so it was still feminine and appropriate for the office. My months of “hard work” finally paid off in the form of this little number from Anine Bing. The fit is perfect, and the fabric is a versatile medium weight with a hint of red. Tt looks great with jeans and a cami, or a simple dress and heels. I might wear this 2-3 times a week now, don’t judge me… Continue reading “Plaid Blazer + My Anine Bing Obsession”
It seems like everyone is living their best life at Coachella right now. Me? I’m hanging on my couch with Roxie scrolling through pics of the fashion scene, trying not to eat an entire bag of chips. My salt addiction aside, the best Coachella style I’m seeing so far have one thing in common: a street style edge and tons of bright color. Bright colors! Ground-breaking for spring, amirite? If the Coachella lookbook has inspired me to do anything, it’s break out my new yellow Louboutins and take them for drinks and dinner. I got these stunners for a steal on TheRealReal, which, if you haven’t heard of yet, is the best site to get new designer items for a fraction of the price.
In other good news for you color lovers: I’ve rounded up seven other sandals that will bring that pop of Coachella bright into your life, without having to go anywhere, starting with yellow ones like mine.Yellow: These sunnies are only $59 at Nordstrom. As you may or may not have heard, I am constantly trying to be a french girl. You know, svelte no matter how many croissants I eat, generally unbothered and adorable, with effortless style. But sadly, I have to limit my pastries, no one has ever called me adorable, and it’s too cold right now for the striped tee, silk trousers, and beret I’m envisioning (you see it too, don’t you?). In the interim, I’m reading up on looks from fashion week and channeling une femme winter – and for me, nothing says effortlessly chic like all black. The ripped jeans keep it from looking too severe and give this outfit a little texture. I also LOVE this dusty rose COS coat for spring, but I think using it as a transition piece with black is totally working. Come back for the spring-styling in a few weeks. p.s. If you’ve never tried an Everlane cashmere sweater, let me tell you, they are a dream for a fraction of the price.
Stay french out there. Continue reading “All Black + Pop of Dusty Rose”

If you’re in the Northeast U.S. right now you are probably getting buried under inches of snow. Stay safe and warm out there! I took the redeye to Chicago last night and it’s freezing here so I feel your pain (but no snow yet, whew). This cold weather inspired me to post about the pure joy that is finding a really warm, but also chic, coat. Like this patterned knit from H&M. And it’s on sale right now for only $50! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! It’s been so rainy in San Francisco so we did a lot of early spring cleaning the last few days: I was able to pull out two full bags of clothes to donate. Feel like I have more room in the closet for some new clothes… not like I need to shop any more every again. On Sunday we went on a walk through the Mission and I wore this navy midi from Vince with my favorite East Coast reppin’ tee. Continue reading “Sunday Strollin’: Pleated Midi Skirt + T-Shirt”

We had such a busy weekend! Have you seen Book of Mormon yet? We saw it on Saturday again and it never gets old – literally the funniest broadway show I’ve ever seen. A good one to bring the boy if you usually have to drag them to shows – my husband LOVED it. After such a fun weekend with musicals and the Museum of Ice Cream it’s hard to go back to work. Lately when I’m lacking inspiration, I’ve been borrowing from the boys! Can’t get enough of menswear-inspired blazers with a tee shirt. The best thing about this look: it’s professional but you can still show a little personality. You can dress it up or down with different blazer/tee combos, so it’s appropriate for the formality level of your office.
Play with prints and colors! There are unlimited combos: Mixed prints, black and navy, stripes and polka dots, it all works. A plaid blazer and a striped t-shirt, or a solid blazer and a funky graphic tee? Done. My husband gave me this t-shirt because he thinks it makes me more “rock n’ roll”. Ha! What do you think? Paired with high-waisted pants and a red lip, it’s a me that’s fun, but ready to WERK. Did I mention it’s comfortable? I love the look of a loafer to complete the menswear vibe, but when I have client meetings, I go with pumps.

We spent our Sunday afternoon at the Museum of Ice Cream! Yes, that’s a thing and it was as delicious as it sounds. I can’t believe someone dreamed this sweet, sweet heaven up. The Museum of Ice Cream, #MOIC, is currently open in LA, Miami and San Francisco. If you live in SF, you can get tickets here. They sell out months in advance but you can sign up for a notification when they release more, so you’ll know first. Want a sneak peek? Follow me…
